About the Book
The Social Liberal and environmental movements are founded in the Godless philosophy of Marx. Our Freedom and Christian heritage are being stolen. Liberals would have you believe in government solutions to simplistic problems, that the free market is evil and that the State is the almighty, that the rich must finally pay their fair share, that the US is evil, that a child is just a choice, that global warming is fact. Did you know that abortion is older than Christianity? Immigration must be managed and free people must be armed. Backed up with great quotes and scripture, this exhilarating book uses common sense and scripture like never before to set the record straight. Joseph Russo
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms, disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes." --Cesare Beccaria, quoted by Thomas Jefferson
"They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty not safety." Benjamin Franklin
"The most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’" Ronald Reagan
"Men invent new ideals because they dare not attempt old ideals. They look forward with enthusiasm, because they are afraid to look back." G.K. Chesterton
Introduction
In the following chapters, I will dismantle social liberal arguments and positions using commons sense, reason and most importantly biblical scripture. I quote the Constitution of the United States, Ronald Reagan, G.K. Chesterton, Friedrich Hayek, Adrian Rogers, Edmund Burke, Mark Twain, Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI, Noah Webster, James Madison, James Madison and John Adams. If you love Church, country, history and scripture, you might enjoy this work. If you are a Social Liberal, you may come to understand why so many God-loving Christians do not want government solutions to simplistic problems. I make the case for freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, without the shackles of a Godless government. I pray that God blesses you and bids you prosperity of love, faith, forgiveness, charity and an open mind.
(John 3:16-18) "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." If we are with God, we must be with him in spirit and not just words. We must turn away from temptation and towards behavior in accord with scripture. Being a good person may not be reason enough for Jesus to save us. He may expect us to keep the commandments, to love and forgive. How often do we hear someone claim to be ‘spiritual,’ yet following only self-driven desires? Moral relativism is the new ‘in’ theology of the educated. Everyone’s version of morality is considered morally acceptable by the self- proclaimed wise. It is wrongly assumed by them, that there is no concrete morality, no black and white, only gray areas. Certainly, we should not judge others lest we be judged, but will Jesus not judge us all? Wouldn’t it be nice to stand in judgment with a sincere heart?
Black and white is a solidly supported concept in scripture. Today, many priests and ministers refuse to preach the ‘black and white’ concept, pro life and traditional marriage, for fear of offending parishioners. We should willingly accept scripture and not expect scripture to form to us. We are given free will by God to follow or deny his laws. We can turn away or follow.
In the last century we have been driven steadily towards Godless Marxism, which is undermining the fabric of our Judea-Christian society. For better, claim the agnostics and for worse claim the faithful. The agnostics believe that if God exists, he is about rules and regulations and they wish to be rid of restraints in order to feel free. To believers, God’s laws are not rules and regulations, but rather free choice; that can be followed to salvation or denied if we prefer not to be saved. Our society is divided more than it has been in our history and if we do not understand how and why, we cannot save our heritage, freedom and faith. America was once unique and successful. Today we are nearing commonality with less desirable societies around the world.
Our universities and political institutions are full of wise men and women who know best how we less capable and less educated must be managed. In their wisdom, they do not trust us to manage our own affairs. They say only government can solve the problems of the people. Many of us less educated clearly understand that government has created at least two problems for every one it tried to fix. The Federal Government has trampled on our constitutional mandate for limited federal powers and would be unrecognizable to the founding fathers. It is so large, expensive and deep in debt, that it may collapse into economic despair, causing America to fail her citizens in protection and prosperity. Our government is full of wise men, or so they think. (James 3:13-18) Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show his works by a good life in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. Wisdom of this kind does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every foul practice. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peaceable, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without inconstancy or insincerity. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those who cultivate peace.
